Doctor-led REMS bone health assessments
Every scan and management plan is clinician-led — using ultrasound-based REMS (no ionising radiation) to assess hip and lumbar spine bone status and estimate fracture risk.
Typically 15–20 minutes for the scan itself, plus time for results and next steps.
- Any previous DEXA/REMS results.
- Relevant medical letters or medication list (steroids, thyroid or bone-active meds).
- Comfortable clothing for hip and abdominal access.
Our approach
Your assessment, scan interpretation and management plan are conducted by a GP with expertise in bone health.
We combine REMS results with your medical history, risk factors and goals to tailor next steps.
You’ll leave with understandable results and a practical plan for prevention, monitoring or treatment.
Ultrasound-based REMS avoids ionising radiation and is suitable for a wide range of patients.
What is REMS?
REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) is an ultrasound-based, radiation-free technique used to assess bone status and estimate fracture risk at the hips and lumbar spine. It’s comfortable, quick, and suitable for a wide range of patients.
